Information We Collect
The only personal information we collect through this website is what you give us directly through our contact form: your name, phone number, email address, what your enquiry is about, and your message.
We do not collect or store any payment or card details through this website - payment for any work carried out is arranged directly with us, by cash or bank transfer.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you give us to:
- Respond to your enquiry
- Arrange and carry out any work you book in for, such as an MOT, service, tyres or repairs
- Keep reasonable records of any work carried out, where required for legal, warranty or industry reasons
We process your information on the basis of your consent when you submit our contact form, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, the contract formed once you book work in with us, and our legal obligations as a DVSA-approved test station (see below).
MOT Testing & Vehicle Records
As a DVSA-approved test station, we are legally required to submit MOT test data - including your vehicle's registration, mileage and test result - to the DVSA's national MOT testing database. This is a legal requirement of carrying out an MOT test and applies to every test we carry out, regardless of the outcome.
Warranty & Manufacturer Information
Where parts we've fitted are covered by a manufacturer's warranty, we may need to share relevant details of the work with the manufacturer or supplier in order to process a warranty claim on your behalf.
Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only ever share information where:
- We're legally required to, such as submitting MOT results to the DVSA
- It's necessary to process a manufacturer's or supplier's warranty claim on your behalf
- It's needed by service providers who help us run our business, such as our email and website hosting providers - these providers only process information on our instructions and don't use it for their own purposes
Cookies
This website does not use cookies. The one exception is the embedded Google Map on our About and Contact pages - Google's own map service may set cookies over which we have no control, in line with Google's own privacy policy. If we introduce cookies of our own in future, such as for website analytics, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first where required.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep enquiry information only for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry. Where we carry out work for you, job and vehicle records are kept for as long as required by law or industry guidance, which is typically several years for tax and warranty purposes.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information, where we're not legally required to keep it
- Object to how we use your information
- Ask us to restrict how we use it
- Ask for a copy of your information in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, get in touch using the details at the top of this page.
Keeping Your Information Secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information you give us. This website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we only ever collect the information we actually need.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us directly using the details above and we'll do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top revised accordingly.
